It's been awhile

I took the month off from blogging. I have just been so busy with work. Lots going on. Things are stable for the most part now in Chicago. I am working and love everyone I work with. I am living with one of my best friends in a great place. I am using the trains as much as possible. Lost a bunch of pounds....

Been dating a lot and I think I might have found someone who meets all my criteria.. Very excited about it....looking forward to spending more time with him.

So, that's it. A short update. I gotta keep working!

It's actually here, I'm 30

I spent this last year waiting for it and now that it is finally here, I really can't believe it. I'm 30. But, I did it. I told myself a couple months ago that I wanted to be living in a new city, with a job and stable housing by the time I was 30, and I have reached that goal. There are still a few quirks to fix, but overall I am excited for this new chapter in my life. Now it's time to find me a husband. lol.

Hey, it's been awhile

I have not had a chance to blog lately. Working two jobs and trying to get things together before the big 30 has kept my life as hectic as it could be. Work is going ok, nothing amazing like I expected, but there is a glimmer of hope for better results. My coworkers are pretty effin cool, especially this wonderful woman named Many or as I like to call her, Mandelicious.

Anyways, back to work, gotta close those deals!

OH, I got two new tatts...My gift to myself.

First Day of Work

The short version. I showed six properties, none moved and I am tired. Driving around and constantly blowing into that interlock sucks. And, I got my first Chicago parking ticket. I am thinking of framing it. It's like a right of passage. Oh well. Day off tomorrow. I am hitting the gym for a few hours....

Violet Hour

So, I worked a crazy long night tonight......I was attacked by a drunk homeless man, was tipped 50 bucks, and had to wait 1.5 hours for some ladies to leave the restaurant, only to get tipped 2 dollars. It's now 1am. So, I go over to hang with one of the new guys at a different location and we finish him up. We decided to go for A DRINK....cause I can only have one drink and then wait an hour before I can start my car.....cause of the ignition interlock......So, instead of going to the nice, normal, neighborhood bar, we decided to go fancy and try out Violet Hour. I knew the doorman, so getting in was a snap. I knew their drinks were super impressive and costly, but at this point, I was ready to blow some cash. Long story short.......two worst drinks ever. The sparkling water was more refreshing.... I dropped 50 on two drinks, so there goes that tip.... It was totally uncalled for and stupid, but I have not had a night out on the town, since I got here 5 weeks ago! This was my first venture out. And it was nice to be able to talk shop talk with a guy that just finished working the same job I did. So, whatever. It was ridiculous to buy into all the hype of this place, Violet Hour. Why people wait 2 hours to even get inside the door, only to be stuck in a dark unlit hallway for another hour or so. It's all an allure. I am to old and cheap to be doing this. lol. I was planning on doing it up for my bday this month at some super exclusive club, but now.....after thinking about it. I am going to scale it way down. Why waste so much money on a single night. Not worth it. That was my rant. Oh.....my interlock warned me that it detected alcohol, but let me off with a slap on the wrist, and luckily let my car start. I am loopy from working so hard and one effin drink! light weight! Night.

I got the JOB!

So, things came together pretty quick. I am now living 80% in the city. I will be moving here full time in the next couple of weeks. Work with my friends and the valet company is going strong. And, I just got my full time gig sorted out. I am the newest leasing agent for a bunch of high end properties in the city. Get to set my own hours and schedule. I will have an office but since most of my time will be spent showing properties, I will hardly be there......So now I have two good jobs, am in the city.......what's next? Nothing! I really don't want anything more at the moment. I'm happy....

Moving yet again

So, after much thought and consideration, I have decided to move to the city. It just makes more sense for me. My part time job is there and I am looking for full time work in the city. Plus all my medical, mental, and hiv resources are in the city. Not to mention my court mandated classes from my dui, lol. And now my gym is there too. It's the right thing to do cause commuting back and forth is killer when gas is $3.30 per gallon.

I am def going to miss the easiness of the burbs, and of course Sally and Misto, but I knew from the beginning that this situation was only going to be for a short while.

So, with that being said.....I am off to the gym and then to some staffing firms to try and get this job thing rolling!
