It's Been A Year!

It has literally been a year since I posted on my blog. To be honest, I totally forgot I had it. But now that I have a bit more control of my life, I have decided to return to it....

It's also been a year since my diagnosis of hiv, which was the reason I started this blog..

Things are good. I am about to turn 30, I just moved to Chicago and everything is slowly (in a good way) falling into place.

I decided to drive Percy, my Jeep out here so the trip was long, boring (except for the Drag show I went to in Oklahoma City) but all in all, it was what is was. It was a hard decision to leave Arizona. Two years passed so quickly and so much had happened. When I first got there, things were good. I had just returned home from Bolivia, divorced from husband, and was back with my parents. The first year came with lots of work, volunteering for Aids Walk(which would be the start of a almost 3 year commitment), and making amazing new friends, while reconnecting with older friends. It seemed like everyone had moved to AZ. I traveled a lot and had some amazing moments like being at our President's inauguration, and spending a week in Miami with my cousins from Bolivia. Bolivia in itself was worth a blog, but I just didn't have the energy to spend on one. I did start one about my new married life, but that ended quickly. haha.

So back to Arizona....it was great for awhile but then I lost my job and found out I was sick.....the last year basically just sucked. Thankfully, I had my family and friends.......

So in a nutshell that brings us to today. I have been in Chicago for a week now. And I have not wasted anytime. I am living with my (gf) best friend, Sally. Ok, the gf thing is a nickname.... She lives in the burbs and I am staying with her 4 nights a week. The other three nights, I am staying with Matt in his Chicago condo. Yes, enter Paul and Matt. If you knew me back in 2001, you know of Paul and Matt. They were my employers when I worked valet with them. Well, with many years passed, I am back to my old job. Kind of.....I am working with my best friends, but the job is not defined just yet. Right now I am just working a hot spot and parking cars. There is a lot more to come but why give it all away right now. That's what this blog thing is all about.

I post on facebook everyday but one liners don't really tell you much.....some of you think they do, but you are wrong. (I am speaking directly to you, yep, you.)

So now, Dave in Chicago is the start of a new life.

PS...Sally has the cutest Pup, Misto but he pees every time I touch him. So, as per the trainer, I am not allowed to touch or look at him for a few weeks. No fun cause he is so cute!

PSS....I have been here a week and have not been to BoysTown. What!!!???
